PROFESSIONAL SERVICES PRACTICE LAUNCH
Building the Operational Foundation for a Mediation Practice
The Client
Mullins Resolution, PLLC is an Austin-based mediation practice founded by attorney and mediator Jordan Mullins. Jordan brings extensive experience handling complex commercial, energy, oil and gas, financial, and other civil disputes—experience that now informs his work helping parties evaluate risk, navigate difficult conversations, and pursue resolution.
As Jordan expanded his practice into mediation, he needed a complete business foundation that reflected his experience and supported the day-to-day realities of running a mediation practice. That meant creating not only a distinct brand and website, but also the scheduling, client communications, technology, billing, payment, and financial systems needed to launch and operate with confidence.
The goal was to create a polished, turnkey practice that allowed Jordan to focus on mediating while the business behind the work functioned clearly, professionally, and consistently.
The Challenge
Jordan had the legal experience, professional credibility, and subject-matter knowledge to build a strong mediation practice, but launching the business required an entirely different set of decisions and systems.
The brand, website, domain, professional email, scheduling, client communications, billing, payments, financial tools, and launch materials all needed to work together and present a consistently branded experience. Many of those pieces were interdependent, and handling them separately—or in the wrong order—could create confusion, duplicated effort, or costly rework.
The challenge was to translate Jordan’s established legal experience into a distinct mediation practice while building the operational infrastructure behind it. Everything needed to be polished, secure, easy to manage, and consistent across every client touchpoint so that Mullins Resolution could launch as a cohesive, fully functioning business.
The Approach
I worked with Jordan to build Mullins Resolution as a complete, connected business rather than a collection of separate tools and one-off decisions. The work was sequenced carefully so that the brand informed the website, the website supported the client journey, and the underlying systems were ready to support the practice from launch. The approach included:
Developing a distinct brand identity, positioning, and messaging for Mullins Resolution
Designing and building a professional, mobile-friendly website
Establishing the domain, professional email, and secure account access
Creating the practice’s core operating processes and workflows
Configuring scheduling and calendar systems to support mediation bookings
Building client communications and templates for each stage of the process
Setting up billing, payment, and financial tools
Applying consistent branding across the website, emails, forms, invoices, and launch materials
Testing the full client experience before the practice was introduced publicly
The Results
Mullins Resolution launched as a cohesive, fully functioning mediation practice—not simply a new website. Jordan had a clear public presence, a consistent client experience, and the operational structure to confidently begin managing inquiries and mediations. The work gave him:
A ready-to-use operating framework connecting systems, workflows, and checklists across the mediation process
Fully developed, consistently branded documents and templates ready for launch
Repeatable processes for inquiries, scheduling, client preparation, payment, and follow-up
Fewer manual decisions and less administrative guesswork
Greater visibility through organized financial and operational systems
A scalable foundation to support increased volume and future growth
Most importantly, Jordan launched with the structure and tools to run his practice confidently from day one—freeing him to focus on mediation rather than building the business around it.
